Raising dairy heifers properly is an important part of any dairy operation.  University published research on Amaferm has shown improvement in both fiber digestion and rate of gain on dairy heifers. Amaferm increases microbial protein giving the growing heifer some additional by-pass protein and improving the use of the current protein it is being fed. Amaferm has been shown to improve dry matter intake. Getting the dairy heifer to consume more forage, whether grass hay or silage, will allow for maximum growth potential while maintaining proper body condition.
