BioZyme has done extensive research on the use of Amaferm for lactating cows. Over 12 university published research trials have proven that feeding Amaferm to milk cows yields an average of 3.6 pounds of milk per head per day. Depending on the price of milk, that is a return on investment of around 9 to 1. Amaferm has a higher proven milk increase and return on investment than yeast or probiotic products that are similar.

Recent field trials have shown improvements in butterfat as well. With increasing feed costs, the importance of utilization of forages is more critical than ever. Amaferm has proven to significantly improve ADF (acid detergent fiber) and NDF (neutral detergent fiber) digestion and increase feed intake.  Allowing for the use of more forages in the diet and less grain leads to saving more money. Amaferm has been shown to increase microbial protein and protein digestion providing more natural by­-pass protein by the cow. This allows the producer to better use protein in the ration providing an economical return.
