Antibiotic Therapy

Unlike probiotics, Amaferm performs as an adjuvant (serving to help or assist) during antibiotic therapy. Proven to stimulate beneficial microflora, even in the presence of antibiotics, Amaferm reestablishes a healthy gut for speedier recovery.

Breeding

Much research shows breeding to be a “luxury” function. This means an animal will only reproduce when all other nutritional requirements are met. Amaferm increases beneficial microflora in the gut to increase digestion – which, in turn, makes more nutrients available to meet the animal’s needs, including reproduction.

Diarrhea

Amaferm increases total digestion AND the rate-of-digestion of food particles that reach the large intestine. This does two things: 1) An increase in total digestion makes more nutrients available 2) An increase in the rate-of-digestion helps to break up the size of the particles moving through the gut. The large undigested nutrients are osmotic, which draw even more water into the intestine – by breaking these down, Amaferm increases digestion which helps to reduce the amount of water for a healthier stool quicker.

Sickness

Whenever a cat is sick, even when it’s not associated with the intestinal tract, appetite can diminish. Reduced intake will provide fewer nutrients to support the immune function. Amaferm maximizes digestion which is especially important in the sick cat to ensure they are getting the most out of the food they do eat.

Aging or Senior Cats

As a natural part of the aging process, Senior cats have a harder time  absorbing and utilizing nutrients. Amaferm helps Seniors by increasing nutrient availability as-well-as increasing surface area in the gut to absorb those nutrients.

Vaccinations

Just because we give a vaccination does not mean that immunization occurs. For immunization to occur we also have to have an immuno-competent animal. This is an animal receiving sufficient nutrients to support the immune system. There is a hierarchy of nutrient partitioning which regulates how a cat’s system will utilize available nutrients. Nutrients are partitioned to maintenance, growth and development first, and when the demands of those systems are met, additional nutrients are partitioned to the immune system, lactation, reproduction and weight. Vomiting
